Explore The Local Area

Make a day of it in beautiful Shere and The Surrey Hills.

Nestled in one of England's most picturesque villages, The William Bray is perfectly placed for a day of exploring, rambling, and relaxing. Whether you're walking the hills, visitng local landmarks, or just escaping the city for some fresh air, there's plenty to discover right on our doorstep.

Shere Village

A true chocolate-box village with a timeless feel. Think winding lanes, a 12th-century church, independant shops and a gentle stream running through the heart of it. Shere has featured in films like The Holiday and Bridget Jones, and it's not hard to see why.

- St James' Church dating back to the 1100's.

- Shere Museum which is small but packed with local charm.

- Shopping in the village to browse antiques, handmade gifts and local art.

- Plentiful rambling trails through fords, across paddocks and fields and if you head past the Church to the right, you'll stumble across the location of Iris' cottage in The Holiday!
